Asset Performance Management for oil, gas and petrochemical assets

Inspection readings sit in contractor reports, work history in your CMMS, process data in the historian. AccurAPM puts them on one equipment record, so every inspection interval, FFS result and RCA finding traces back to its evidence.

Where integrity decisions lose their evidence

The contractor changes

Readings arrive as PDFs at the end of each campaign and are re-keyed into spreadsheets. Each contractor brings its own template. CML names drift, and a short-term corrosion rate gets calculated against the wrong baseline.

Two systems, two asset lists

The CMMS holds the equipment and the work orders. Integrity studies keep a register of their own. Recommendations get re-typed into notifications by hand, if they get there at all.

The excursion nobody linked

A temperature excursion sits in the historian. The corrosion loop it affected is reassessed months later as if it never happened.

“There was widespread use of Excel spreadsheets, often stored on local computer drives.”

The same review found installation records that were not transferred effectively when ownership changed.

One equipment record, connected to the systems you already run

AccurAPM Core holds a single asset hierarchy, with as many levels as your plant needs, and every module reads from and writes to it. Data comes in from the systems that already hold it. Approved actions go back to the system that carries them out.

AccurAPM one equipment record: CMMS data from SAP, IBM Maximo and Oracle is synchronised, historian tags are mapped to assets and inspection readings are logged against CMLs. 15 modules share the record, and approved notifications and work orders are written back to the CMMS.

CMMS

SAP master data, functional locations and work history are synchronised into AccurAPM through AccurELT. Notifications and work orders are written back. Bi-directional integration is also available for IBM Maximo and Oracle.

Process historian

OPC and OPC-UA tags are mapped to equipment and checked against integrity operating windows set up in line with API RP 584. Each excursion is recorded with its start time, duration, severity and affected corrosion loop.

Historian & IOW

Inspection data

Readings are logged against fixed CMLs, whichever contractor took them. Long- and short-term corrosion rates come from the full history.

One strategy cycle, not fifteen separate studies

Each stage feeds the next and works from the same asset hierarchy, so a decision taken in one module is visible in the others. An IOW excursion recorded during execution can be reviewed alongside the RBI risk for the same corrosion loop when the plan comes up for review.

AccurAPM strategy cycle in six stages: foundational data, strategy selection, strategy development, strategy execution, corrective action, and review and update, with the AccurAPM modules used at each stage. Results feed back into strategy selection.

AI that works inside the engineering record

AccurAPM’s AI features read your asset data together with the engineering knowledge built into the platform, then produce a draft. An engineer checks it and signs it off. Nothing the AI produces changes an inspection interval, a risk ranking or a work order without an engineer’s approval.

AccurAPM AI workflow: your engineering data and the engineering knowledge in AccurAPM feed an AI draft of fault trees, recommendations, extracted CML readings and answers. An engineer verifies the draft and signs it off onto the equipment record.

Root cause analysis

  • Start an investigation from an asset, an inspection report or a failure event, and the relevant history comes with it.
  • AI drafts the fault tree and the recommendations, and logic validation checks the structure as you build.
  • Similar past cases are retrieved from across the organisation.
  • Every hypothesis stays open until your team verifies it.

Drawings and legacy reports

AccurPulse extracts structured data from PDF drawings and technical documents and supports CML annotation, so years of contractor reports can be loaded and checked instead of re-typed.

AccurPulse

Questions across your data

AI Copilot answers questions about your assets, inspections and CMMS work history. Query Composer sets what it can read: the whole system, or only the data set you define.

AccurPulse

The engineering knowledge is what AccurAPM already holds: its failure mode library, the method logic of 5 Whys, Fishbone and Fault Tree analysis, and your organisation’s past investigations.

Questions

Asset performance management: common questions

What is asset performance management software?

Asset performance management software brings inspection, integrity, reliability and maintenance information onto one asset model so decisions about equipment are made from a single record of its condition, risk and history. It sits between engineering assessment and maintenance execution, converting condition and risk into prioritized inspection and maintenance plans.

How is AccurAPM different from a CMMS?

A CMMS schedules and records maintenance work. AccurAPM decides what should be inspected or maintained and when, by assessing damage mechanisms, risk, criticality and remaining life, then passes that plan to the CMMS. AccurAPM integrates with CMMS platforms including SAP, IBM Maximo and Oracle, reading equipment, functional location and work history, and writing back notifications and work orders.

Can AccurAPM be deployed on-premises?

Yes. AccurAPM runs in the cloud or entirely on your own network. On-premises deployment matters for operators whose integrity and process data cannot leave their infrastructure. User accounts can be created through your existing LDAP group or manually, and roles, sites and data permissions are configured per customer. The cloud version runs on Microsoft Azure, and both versions are listed on Microsoft Marketplace.

Which standards does AccurAPM support?

AccurAPM implements API 580 and API 581 for risk-based inspection, API 584 for integrity operating windows, and ASME material data with Tmin calculation. Pipeline integrity follows DNV-RP-F116, ASME B31.8S and API RP 1160. Fitness-For-Service assessments follow API 579-1/ASME FFS-1. AccurAPM supports the engineer's assessment; sign-off stays with your engineers.
